Why Kingdom Come?
The kingdom of God is the good news that, in Jesus Christ, God’s long-awaited reign has arrived. Christ brings God’s story of creation and redemption to its fullness, inviting us out of the false kingdoms of self-rule and into the life God intended from the beginning. In His kingdom, we learn a new way of being human, because our King Himself is restoring the world. This is the vision we dare to embrace: a community shaped by Christ, living under His rule, and joining in His mission to make all things new.
I. Vision
A present reality, not only a future hope
Our vision is to see young people discover God’s kingdom not merely as a future hope but as a present reality. We long for them to live under the gracious rule of the risen King, by receiving new lives marked by holiness, truth, and love. As they seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, we pray today’s youth will grow to become disciples through whom God continues to make His kingdom visible here on earth.
II. Mission
Forming citizens of the kingdom
To form students as citizens of God’s kingdom, through the proclamation of the Word, prayer, and Christ-centered friendships.
III. Core Doctrinal Values
What we believe
Holy Trinity
We believe in the one eternal God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—whose gracious reign over all creation is the source and end of all life. From eternity, the triune God has purposed to make all things new and to gather for Himself a people who live under His loving rule.
Christ Jesus
We believe Jesus is the Word made flesh, fully God and fully man, in whom the kingdom of God has drawn near, and who through His death and resurrection has been revealed as the true and risen King over all things, in heaven and on earth.
Bible
We believe the Holy Scriptures are inspired by the Holy Spirit and are God’s infallible and trustworthy Word. Through them, God reveals the good news of His kingdom, and helps us to walk within it, by teaching us the way of Christ and by forming us to live as faithful citizens of heaven.
Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, into which we are incorporated through faith and baptism. As the visible community of God’s kingdom, the Church bears witness to Christ’s Lordship through worship, discipleship, fellowship, and mission, expressed in the committed life of a local, Christ-centered congregation.
Human Condition
We believe all humanity is enslaved to the powers of sin and death, as we live under rival kingdoms that rebel against God and distort His good creation. Alienated from God and from our true humanity, we continually fall short of His glory, and apart from the Spirit’s grace we cannot enter His kingdom.
Salvation
We believe Jesus Christ defeated the powers of sin and death, and has opened the way into God’s kingdom. Through His incarnation, death, resurrection, and ascension, and through the Spirit’s renewing work, we are forgiven, made new, and called forth to live under the rule of the risen King, in holiness, truth, and love.
Christ’s Return
We believe the risen Lord will return to judge the living and the dead, renew all things, and bring God’s kingdom to its glorious fulfillment. Till that day, we are called to seek first His kingdom by proclaiming the gospel, making disciples, and bearing faithful witness, so that God’s will may be done on earth as it is in heaven.
